Christmas in July continued...

I'm still plodding along with the Christmas in July Challenge at TSE this month. It's been awhile since I have joined in with something that goes for a whole month. Come to think of it...have I ever? I usually fizzle out at some point but I am determined to complete this one.

So here is the next instalment - movie inspired Christmas cards. Definitely not my forte but I had a mighty good crack at it. After all, a recipe file is at stake here!

Credit for the "Christmas House" goes to FantasyJr.com.

By the way, I just figured out how to make my images bigger so you don't have to squint (like I do) to view the photos. I have a widescreen monitor though, so I'm not sure if it means that for those with smaller screens, the images overlaps with the other blog features. Please tell me if it is! :-)

Adding to the stash

Christmas Cards, Christmas Cards. I suppose it is a good thing to get in early and get these done. I am a big believer in handmade Christmas cards - I have given them out two years in a row now and I get so much satisfaction from it and those receiving them are genuinely appreciative of the time that goes into making them special.

Last year I handed out these:

I also sent these off using Bo Bunny papers:

And then there was this set using Ta Da Creative Studio papers:

So this year I am sticking with Wassail at the moment and keeping them nice and simple. Here is another one using TSE's July Sketch Challenge to match the previous one I made for the Xmas in July Card Challenge:

Have a great weekend - I am off to the annual show tonight with the family. :-)

SC - Top Ten

Sort of playing catch up here still. I had another item featured in the Scrapbook Creations Top Ten (last month?) Issue 66 or 67 I think. It was all to do with flying things. Hence the butterfly - I think MME makes these ones. It is a little box with a lid. Chatterbox and some Hambly on this one and LOTS of glitter highlights. :-)

See ya,

Cosmo Cricket Cards

Sooooooooo....I was just randomly sitting around yesterday and thought to myself - hey, why not make some Cosmo Cricket cards! Not for any specific reason of course. ;) Just one of those moments where I like to (at the very last minute) challenge myself to make some stuff with CC products and then curse myself (you know, just for the hell of it) for not deciding to "challenge" myself to this EARLIER in the month.....

Anyway, here is my Cosmo Cricket tribute.....just because.

*sigh* Why am I such a tool sometimes? Don't answer that...lol

Fingers crossed...

Top Ten - SC Mag

I completed a project for Scrapbook Creations that was published a few months ago now in Issue 64 I think to do with Magnetism. So the challenge was to use a magnet on your project. It could be anything really. I decided to use some of my Chatterbox products to put together a note holder with a magnet on the back. Lots of artsy.licious in this one:

Catch Up

Just thought I would play catch up seeing as I have been on a long blog vacation. These are various cards that have been published recently in Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft Magazine. The first three are in the current Collector's Edition called Cardmaking For Any Occasion. They are featured across a few different categories.

And this last one was featured in Vol 14 No 11 where I was challenged to make a card that cost no more than $5. Total cost for this card was $2.50! So I learnt that I can be a total cheapskate! :-)
I love how they model and photograph the cards for this mag! So, no - I don't have the skills to do that part. :)

A couple of publications...

Australian Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft Magazine is out Vol 14 No 8 and I got my contributor copy in the mail as well with some published work.

If for nothing else, this edition is worth's its money just to check out the set of cards that Greg Sukendro made - see that gorgeous card on the left on the cover above? Beautiful work!

I have an Autumn themed set using Fancy Pants papers -

I was also asked to participate in an embellishment challenge using K&Co Seaglass papers and embellishments which is in this copy as well -

It's a little hard to see in this photo but the top one is a little stretched canvas clock and the bottom is a trifold card. :)

Thanks for dropping by!

Last one for the month

My third and final project for the March Designing Memories kits. One of the things I love the most about this kit is the handful of Chatterbox goodness included...
